Founded in 1997, Greenbank is the youngest of all the boy's houses. It was named after Geoffrey Noel Townshend Greenbank, who was the longest serving Headmaster the College has had.

Established in 1955, the Friends of King’s College Association is a volunteer organisation with the goal of supporting the College in all its endeavours and enhancing the student experience.

Our squad delivered an outstanding performance at the Junior Regatta over the weekend of the 22-23 February, showcasing their strength, determination, and teamwork across multiple events. With several podium finishes and strong placements, our crews demonstrated the depth of talent within the squad.

On the Saturday before last, the King’s weekend Boarders enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Auckland FC vs Wellington Phoenix football game at Mount Smart Go Media Stadium. The atmosphere was great, and the South Stand was full of passionate fans chanting and waving flags.

Student Perspective
The full Boarding weekend for the Te Pūtake Lodge was a great experience. It started when we went to Vector Wero Whitewater Park where we spent most of the evening.

At King’s College we use educational technologies and our e-learning programme to transform the learning experience by making it more student-centred, more dynamic, and more accessible.

Boarding staff
Each boarding House has a team of people working together to make the boarding experience safe and enjoyable. These are the key people that boarders will encounter:

Housemaster: The person responsible for the pastoral care and academic progress of all students in the House.

As a private school, King’s College is required to be financially independent of government education subsidies.  

The operating costs of the College are recovered through the tuition and boarding fees charged for all enrolled students.
