Our Future Oak Tree

Our Future

Our founding principle—of providing the best all-round education possible—has remained a foundation for the school for more than a century. It will continue to drive us as we look forward to the future.

Another strong foundation for King’s is our community. Each successive generation of students and Old Collegians has contributed to and built upon our legacy. From the purchase of 42 acres in rural Middlemore in 1917 to the development of sports facilities, learning spaces, the performing arts centre, and many other projects along the way, the College continues to innovate with the help of past and present students and families.

Investing in Facilities

There are big things underway for the King’s campus. We recently completed phase one of the plans with the construction of our spectacular Toi Manawa Performing Arts Centre, and work is currently underway on a new High Performance Gym.  Our Leadership team and Board are always looking forward to our property master plan.

Part of providing the best possible education and school experience to our students is ensuring we have quality, fit-for-purpose facilities.

Our governance and leadership teams are always looking to the future to anticipate what the College will need and how it can be achieved.

Our community is central to the delivery of our wider property plan, just as in the past we rely on our community to ensure that King’s College continues to deliver excellence in education for future generations to come.

This plan, designed to support our new purpose and strategy, and built on the legacy of those who have come before, will ensure that King's College remains the most inspiring and interesting place in the country to live, work and learn.
