The Headmasters Garden Party

The Friends of King's College Association

Established in 1955, the Friends of King’s College Association is a volunteer organisation with the goal of supporting the College in all its endeavours and enhancing the student experience.

The Friends foster a strong sense of community and whanaungatanga, and are an integral and very valued part of King’s as a whole.

All parents are members of the Friends, and each family pays a small annual subscription to assist the Friends programme. Throughout the school year there are opportunities to join the Friends Executive Committee or volunteer at the College - both of these are great ways to meet other parents, contribute to the school, and benefit from the strong King’s community network.

Welcome from the President of the Friends

As the President of the Friends, I look forward to getting to know our parent and guardian community as we work together to fundraise and friend-raise for this special College.

I enjoy immersing myself in King’s College life, working with our Headmaster and his great team, and supporting an amazing group of talented and dedicated Friends members and volunteers, all of whom work tirelessly for the benefit of the College and our sons and daughters.

The Friends plan a great calendar of events each year, including the Headmaster’s Garden Party, the Ladies Lunch, Art Exhibitions and other fundraising events. Whether you’re keen to help as a member/volunteer, or wanting to come along and enjoy an event; we look forward to seeing you and sharing some truly memorable times together.

All the best,

Anne Wight

The Friends of King's College Annual Report and financial statements

Through the generosity and commitment of the King’s College community who support our Friends events and fundraising projects, we have supported many initiatives across the school, as detailed in our Annual report.
We have hosted a variety of annual events over the past year including the Ladies' Lunch, the King's College Art Exhibition and the Headmaster’s Garden Party. These events are now well-cemented in our College calendar and are extremely well-attended.
