Our Girls Football First XI team have had an incredible run finishing top of their competition and going the entire season unbeaten!
As a result, this has been the most successful season for girls football since 2018 when they won the Senior A2 League and the Kathy Seaward Tournament. With winter tournament week just around the corner, the team is hoping to continue their unbeaten run and replicate this success as they compete in the Kathy Seaward Tournament in September.
Zoe Davis-Calvert (Year 12, Taylor) is the team’s top goal scorer this year, with a huge 18 goals. A fantastic achievement and the biggest First XI haul in several years for either the boys or girls teams.
Ben Hill, Head of Football says, “Despite not being eligible for promotion next year, we’re so proud of our girls for finishing the season as the only unbeaten team and on top of the A2 competition!”. Their coach Vaughan Mitchell and team manager Mallory Bish couldn't be prouder, not only due to their results but their teamwork, the faith and trust they have in each other and their inspiring team culture.
