Amazing Performances at the New Zealand Track Cycling Nationals

Wednesday 5 March 2025

Miles Preena (Year 13, Peart) who competed in the Under-19 category and Cole Feringa (Year 11, Peart) who was in the Under-17, were the only participants from the College cycling in the nationals, both students were representing the Counties Manukau Cycling Club.

Cole was a member of the team pursuit which won a gold medal, breaking both the event record and the New Zealand national record which has stood since 2015! He also won a bronze medal in the U17 Madison event.

Miles won a silver in the U19 Keirin and followed this up with a bronze medal in the U19 team sprint event.

A fantastic effort from both of these talented student cyclists, well done!
