The King's College Dressage team showcased exceptional talent and determination at the NISS Dressage Carnival, held at St Peter’s School on Friday 28 March. Competing against top equestrian teams from across the North Island, our riders delivered outstanding performances, securing first place overall in the team competition.
Representing King's College were:
Morgan Abel-Pattinson (Year 13, Taylor) – riding Don Tobio
Lexi Hope (Year 13, Taylor) – riding Ètoile La Lune
Olivia Tongue (Year 12, Middlemore) – riding Redcliffs Fortunate One and
Monty Alderton (Year 10, Averill) – riding Astronamour
The riders showed remarkable composure and skill throughout the competition - Morgan and Lexi delivered exceptional performances, winning both of their classes, while Monty impressed with a second-place finish in a highly competitive field of 46 riders and Olivia delivered two beautifully executed tests, all contributing to the team's success.
A Well-Deserved Victory
The team's dedication, hard work and synergy in the arena were key to their overall first-place achievement. This result is both a testament to their commitment to the sport and the strength of the equestrian program at King’s College.
We extend our gratitude to St Peter’s School for hosting such a fantastic event, providing an excellent platform for young equestrians to compete at the highest level.
Congratulations to our riders on this incredible achievement!
