We are seeking a registered Maths teacher or registered primary/intermediate trained teacher to join our dynamic team, working across our Maths department and Learning Centre, primarily with students in Years 9-11, who require additional support in Mathematics. Experience with students who struggle with numeracy would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide student support in Year 9-11 mathematics classes to accelerate progress and achievement in learning, with a focus on numeracy.
- Offer small group support for students with learning differences to ensure inclusive learning.
- Provide administrative and organizational support specific to the role.
- Support the learning of targeted individual students or small groups as directed by the Head of Learning Centre.
- Assist students in building confidence and knowledge of their specific learning needs, creating a positive and empowering learning atmosphere.
- Previous working experience with numeracy support for students.
- A valid NZ Teaching Registration.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Computer and administration skills to maintain accurate records and educational resources.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents.

- Who can bring their expertise and experience in teaching maths to students of various skill levels, with a focus on those who need extra support
- Who has patience and empathy and is able to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment, tailoring their approach to meet individual needs and abilities
- Who has a student-centred approach and can collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to maths education
- Who is innovative in their teaching and who can employ creative and engaging methods to make maths accessible and enjoyable for all students
