We are seeking a registered Maths teacher or registered primary/intermediate trained teacher to join our dynamic team, working across our Maths department and Learning Centre, primarily with students in Years 9-11, who require additional support in Mathematics. Experience with students who struggle with numeracy would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide student support in Year 9-11 mathematics classes to accelerate progress and achievement in learning, with a focus on numeracy.
  • Offer small group support for students with learning differences to ensure inclusive learning.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support specific to the role.
  • Support the learning of targeted individual students or small groups as directed by the Head of Learning Centre.
  • Assist students in building confidence and knowledge of their specific learning needs, creating a positive and empowering learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous working experience with numeracy support for students.
  • A valid NZ Teaching Registration.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Computer and administration skills to maintain accurate records and educational resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents.
