We are delighted to share the phenomenal success of King's College at the Big Sing Regional competition this past week. Our choirs have delivered outstanding performances, earning multiple prestigious awards:
King’s College Kappella Achievements:
- Best Performance of a New Zealand Work: Awarded for 'Dawn' by Chris Artley
- Best Performance of Choral Art Music Piece
- Best Gala Concert Performance
- Commendable Programme Award
Selection for Finale:
Out of over 200 entries, King's College is honored to have two choirs - All the King's Men and Kappella - selected in the top 24 to compete at the Finale in Wellington this August.
Cantorum Choir Recognition:
Our Cantorum Choir has also been selected to compete in Cadenza in Rotorua, representing the top 12 regional choirs just short of the Finale.
Special Congratulations:
We also congratulate Ivan Ho (Year 13, Major) for recieving highly commended in the NZCF-SOUNZ Choral Composition Competition with his remarkable piece 'Abendlied'.
